Animal Bubble Gum

It's been taking me a little longer to decide what I want to wear these days. I stand in the closet for forever thinking "hmm I have nothing to wear", even though my conscience is saying "gosh you need to get rid of some of these clothes".... deep down I really, seriously, probably, more than likely need an excuse to buy more clothes. Unfortunately, shopping has to go on hold because my friends and I will be heading to Europe in July so the money can't be acting all funny :-). But this is what I wore at church on Sunday. I am very selective of which shoes I wear to church because I do the photography during service, which means i'm walking around for quite a while. Needless to say the shoes I wore for comfort the last few Sundays were nothing short of torture.

Mellow Yellow

Not much to say except dinner was great and I obviously LOOOOVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEE FOOD! For dinner I feasted on Plantain Crusted Grouper with Sauteed Vegetables and Peas and Rice...OMG OMG.... Ohhh I wore something too LOL!

Stew Fish and Johnny Cake

The best thing about Island life is that we are a tightly knit community. That doesn't always make it a good thing butttt in this case it's great. My neighbors brought me breakfast this morning..... Ohhhhh yea! This is a traditional Bahamian breakfast that I don't get a lot, so I certainly welcome this, even though I intended to be on a diet today.... That's the devil, I just know it!

Whit Monday Holiday

Don't you just love a holiday? There is something about being off on a day you would otherwise be to work. Well i'm still in Freeport with the folks, will be heading back home in a day or so. My sister and her husband are also here from San Francisco, this is one of those very very very rare cases where mom and dad have all of their kids together because usually someone is always missing. Well we went to the beach, one of the most secluded and untouched beaches in Grand Bahama.... however the tide was pretty high and I wasn't playing that. The awesome part is you have to walk through wetlands (on a boardwalk of course) to get to the beach, that is pretty fantastic on its own. Here is a little something something!

I found this little area to be soooo beautiful

Quite daring she is...

No Make Up....No Filter

How cute is the little raccoon? Wonder what was going through his mind?

The white flower is supposed to be very common in the mangroves, I looked all around and this was the only one

If you are ever in Grand Bahama, Bahamas visit the Lucayan National Park, dont mind the sign, no one is really there collecting $5, you can also go in the cave across the street, we didnt go this time though

MIAMI ....

I'm just back from a few days in Miami. It was definitely not a vacation though... for the past few months I've been up to my eyeball in some non-profit work called Team Brittany, the Fight against Cancer. I've contemplated whether or not to bring Team Brittany news to this blog for a while. While this post is not about that, it's pretty much why I was in Miami for a few days..... I did have a few hours to hang out around Bayside on my last day since Brittany slept for a great deal that day due to medication. I can't wait to share more about Brittany with you.... here is a little of my down time at Bayside.

SO WHAT if I was the only adult on the line to take pic.....

Haitian Flag Day was in full effect....they represented their country to the fullest.

There was a little dog in the pen chasing the little rabbits, I felt sorry for them

Nothing's wrong with a lunch date with yourself and an over rated book
This Mac & Cheese with shrimp and that really crispy topping is almost better than breathing...
